As the only locally owned bank in Hall County, we are deeply involved in the communities we serve. Our annual events celebrate our customers and foster a sense of engagement that aims to bring members of our community together.
The Jack McKibbon BLT Luncheon is one of the most popular summer events in downtown Gainesville with approximately 1,000 people coming by for bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwiches. This hometown tradition was established by Gainesville businessman Jack Mckibbon and friends nearly 30 years ago. Since 2016, Peach State has proudly hosted the event at their Gainesville headquarters and has welcomed community members from all walks of life to join in the festivities.
We celebrate the first warm days of spring with a Low Country Boil, where friends and families in the community gather to enjoy a feast of shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes all seasoned to perfection. The event is a true celebration of community spirit, where everyone is welcome to partake in the fun.
During National Hispanic Heritage Month, we enjoy a breakfast of bread and coffee, honoring the rich cultural traditions that shape our community. This breakfast creates a space for fostering a deeper understanding of one another and making connections that strengthen the ties of our community.
Every year, we present a Cybersecurity Luncheon to provide our community with valuable insights from experts on how to safeguard their accounts and avoid falling victim to scammers. Participants learn about the latest cybersecurity threats, effective strategies for enhancing their online security, and practical tips for recognizing suspicious activity. By fostering a culture of awareness and vigilance, we aim to create a safer environment for everyone, ensuring that our community can navigate the online landscape with confidence and peace of mind.
We are deeply committed to our community, and our amazing staff members embody this dedication by volunteering their time with various nonprofits. Additionally, our bank takes great joy in sponsoring events for schools in the area.
